Stephen Gale, Secretary of Corus Game Fishing made us very welcome on our annual visit to Eglwys Nunydd.
The day was sunny, a light south westerly wind was blowing and it remained sunny all day with no rain. The odd fish was rising and the catching patterns included olive buzzers and pheasant tail nymphs. One member had the misfortune to take his eye off his rod for a moment only to see it being towed swiftly out into the reservoir, sadly both the rod and the fish were both lost !!
Twelve members fished, 7 on the worm and 5 flyfishing and 17 fish were caught. The wormers accounted for 9 of these. The best fish of the day were caught by David Lloyd and Bill Richards, two fine rainbows of 3.0lbs each. The photograph shows David Lloyd with a bottle of wine presented to him for his effort together with some of the other members present on the day. The quality of the fish was excellent and agood day was enjoyed by all.
The quality of the fish caught was excellent and everyone enjoyed a good natured day out,
