Record Rainbow Mr S Morris a member from Pyle has caught the largest rainbow to date this year and possibly an alltime record for the Lake. He was fishing the bank by the old inlet when his CDC was taken by a 10Lb plus Rainbow with perfect fins and a stomach like a pig (his words)it took him down to to the end of his backing and he was forced to chase up and down the dam wall after it.It was released back to the water after being revieved apparently Steve took a lot longer to come around. This bodes well for the Lake because the biggest fish that have been stocked were around the 6Lb mark prior to the competition in April.This fish had grown on possibly from then, there must be an abundance of food in the Lake for this to happen.Unfortunately there were no pictures but a number of witnesses,I think Steve can look forward to receiving a trophy at the next AGM.
