The Steel works have started the process of getting rid of the green algae in the Lake by putting booms full of barley straw out in the Lake.

The process usually takes a few weeks before any benefit is seen.The adverse weather is also helping and reports are that it has slowly started to clear.Let's all keep our fingers crossed.
