Eglwys Nunnydd Reservoir home of the Corus Game Angling Club was in fine form when Tawe Disabled Fishers paid their annual vist on Wednesday 14 May. Thanks go to the Corus committee for the welcome given also for allowing some of our disabled anglers to fish worm on this superb (normally) Fly only water. Most flyfishermen went to the Borg Warner wall but were having difficulty casting in an easterly stiff breeze . This didn’t prevent Peter Musson and Bill Payne bagging up. The wormers fishing on the Short Wall did quite well as it seemed that going deep was the answer on the very sunny day.
Today’s trophy was the Aubrey Smith Shield for the heaviest fish. We had five anglers with identical best fish of 3 lbs - 8 ozs. Finally the five names were put into the hat and Dave Lloyd was drawn as the winner. Dave was presented with the shield by Richard Hale, Chairman of TDFA.
